L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks

L'Oreal definitely isn't my first choice when it comes to lip products at the drugstore. For that reason, I wasn't expecting these new liquid lipsticks to blow my mind. I really didn't find them to be anything special, honestly they are more of a pigmented gloss to me, not a lipstick at all.

 There are 16 shades available, and I chose Ruby Opera (left) and Pink Tremolo (right).

Swatches are two swipes each.

Claims: "Transform lips from ordinary to extraordinary. Color is richer, lip surface is smoother and shine is magnified. Formulated with precious micro-oils and rich color pigments, Extraordinaire provides the ideal balance of color and care for perfect lips."

Pigmentation: These are extremely pigmented, that is the best thing about this product. It really does only take a little of this gloss to get full color on the lips. 

Finish/Texture: The finish is very shiny, like a gloss. The texture is smooth, but almost a little too slick. It did bleed out of my lip line a bit, and I usually don't have that problem.

Lasting Power: These only lasted 2-3 hours on my lips, and they did bleed.

Scent: OMG you guys, these smell SO STRONG. It's like a cherry/chemical smell. It's just so terrible, I hate it because it takes a while for it to fade away.

Packaging: I think the gold plastic is so tacky, the bottle is just ugly to me in general. The applicator is fuzzy and it grabs a lot of product, which I do like.

Price/Availability: I paid $10 each for these at CVS

Likes:

• Great pigmentation
• Nice applicator/easy to use
• Variety of shades to choose from

Dislikes:

• Awful scent
• Expensive for the quality
• Slippery texture/bleeds out of my lip line
• Poor lasting power
• I think the packaging is kinda tacky..

Overall:

If you're looking for something that feels and looks like a pigmented gloss, this is for you. I do like the pigmentation on these, but there are other things at the drugstore that do the same thing for me that are cheaper, such as the Maybelline Color Elixirs. 

I wouldn't say these are a liquid lipstick, especially since they feel and act more like a gloss. I wasn't a fan of the extremely shiny finish, or the super slick texture. The texture was almost gooey, it seemed to slip out of my lip line no matter what. The scent is almost unbearable for me, like I said it's a weird cherry/chemical scent that is just so unnatural. I also think that ten dollars (that's not even counting tax) is a bit much for the amount and quality of the product.

Overall, these just were not exciting to me.  I think they're nice to use over a lipstick, but that's about it. There are other things at the drugstore that are pretty much the same idea, but are cheaper and better quality.

NYX Butter Gloss

I first tried the NYX Butter Gloss when I attended PhameExpo, I received it in a goody bag along with a few other cool NYX products. They gave me a bright orange shade, which I'm not too crazy about, but the formula felt smooth and comfortable on my lips, so I ended up buying three more! To this day, I'm still loving the formula and wanting more shades.  

Here are the NYX BUtter Glosses up close. I love the cute packaging!

Swatches from Top to bottom: Strawberry Parfait, Cherry Cheesecake, Meringue, and Cherry Pie. 

Strawberry Parfait is a bright hot pink. Cherry Cheesecake is a bright true orange. Meringue is cool baby pink. Cherry Pie is a blue red. These swatches are two swipes each. They may appear more or less sheer on the lips, depending on how pigmented your lips are.

Claims: "Add a little more sweetness to your lips with a touch of the Butter Lip Gloss available in 12 scrumptious colors! Get creamy sheer to medium coverage on your lips without that sticky sensation."
Pigmentation: These are very pigmented for a sheer to medium gloss! I was surprised at how great these really showed up on the lips. The more you layer it, the more opaque it gets.
Finish/Texture: The finish on all of these shades is creamy, and they have high shine. The texture is extremely smooth, kind of like butter! 
Lasting Power: I only had an hour of wear before the color completely faded. 
Scent: These do have a strong sweet vanilla scent. It doesn't bother me at all, it reminds me of a vanilla cupcake! It fades quickly, after a few minutes.
Packaging: I like how the packaging matches the color of the gloss inside. The applicator is doefoot and the tube is made of plastic. They contain 0.23 oz (6.5 g) of product. 
Price/Availability: I paid $5 each at Ulta.

Likes:

• There's a variety of shades to choose from, 12 total
• Great pigmentation for a sheer-medium gloss
• Smooth, buttery formula
• Leaves lips feeling hydrated
• Inexpensive
• Nice scent
• Cute packaging

Dislikes:

• These only last about 1 hour on my lips before completely fading

Overall:
I really wasn't expecting to love these as much as I do! There are so many different pretty shades to choose from, they smell delicious, and the packaging is adorable. The formula is very smooth, and buttery, just as the name suggests. They aren't long wearing, but I don't mind having to reapply. They are often on sale at Ulta, and on the NYX website. 

I highly suggest trying these if you're a non-sticky gloss lover like me!

Maybelline Color Elixir Liquid Lip Balms

It seems like every brand is releasing new lip products right now! Maybelline recently joined in on the fun with their latest product, the Color Elixir Liquid Lip Balm. This is the first liquid lip balm by Maybelline. When I bought these, I didn't even know what they were, or what to expect. I'm so happy that I decided to take the plunge and try these, because they are phenomenal! 

Color Elixir Liquid Lip Balms / $6.79 each at Harmon's 

The packaging looks like there's a lipstick inside of the tube, but there isn't! When I first bought these, I thought that the balm was the part showing.. haha. That is just the color swatch of the lip balm itself. 

Here is the applicator! See, it's not a lipstick at all! I was a bit surprised at first. I actually really like the teardrop shaped doefoot, it gives a precise and easy finish.

Raspberry Rhapsody is a pinkish purple. Vision In Violet is a bright blueish purple. Hibiscus Haven is a bright bubblegum pink. Captivating Carnation is a light coral. 
Rose Redefined is a light rose. Amethyst Potion is a deep brownish purple. Fuchsia Flourish is a bright hot pink. Mauve Mystique is a light dusty rose. Signature Scarlet is a bright red. These are only one swipe each! 

Claims: "Saturated Color. Sensuous Balm Care. Polished Lip Shine."

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is amazing, I wasn't expecting them to be so colorful! One swipe gives off full color, a little goes a long way with these. 

Finish/Texture: The finish is very shiny. The texture is smooth, lightweight, and super hydrating. These don't even feel like a gloss. They feel weightless, and non-sticky. 

Lasting Power: This is the weak spot. They only lasted on me about an hour. 

Scent: These have a very odd smell to them.. it's like a mix of perfume/baby powder/plastic.. I can't exactly name it but it's strong, and it also leaves a bitter taste behind. 

Packaging: The teardrop shaped doefoot is great for easy application. The thick plastic is sturdy, and I like that the color can be seen through the tube. 

Price/Availability: I paid $6.79 each at Harmon's inside of Bed Bath and Beyond. 

Likes:

• Very pigmented
• Variety of finishes/colors (20 to choose from overall)
• Keeps lips feeling hydrated
• Non-sticky, weightless feel
• Nice packaging
• Inexpensive 
• Lives up to all claims

Dislikes:

• Odd scent
• Poor lasting power (only an hour or so) 

Overall:

I'm so impressed with the formula on these balms! They are super comfortable on the lips like a balm, shiny like a gloss, and they're pigmented like a lipstick. I couldn't be happier with the color selection and the fact that these live up to all of their claims!  

The downside about these is that they only last about an hour on the lips. I also noticed that they have a strong scent, that kind of smells like plastic, baby powder, and perfume. 
With that being said, I still love this product! 

The Color Elixirs are the best liquid lip balm that I have ever tried! They feel weightless on the lips and the colors are beautiful. This is such a unique product, it's really a balm, gloss, and lipstick all in one!

Maybelline Fall Fashion Week Collection 2013

I am anxiously awaiting the fall season. I seriously can't wait for this 100 degree weather to be over! Plus, I'm starting to miss all of my deep toned lipsticks. Of course I know that I can wear them anytime I want to, but it just feels more fun in the fall. The new limited edition Maybelline Fall Fashion Week Collection has plenty of purples, but it didn't exactly scream 'fall' and it left me feeling unsatisfied. 

The four lipsticks in the collection are (from left to right) Midnight Plum, Lavender Voltage, Fuchsia Fierce, and Violet Intrigue. ($7.99 each)

Violet Intrigue is a warm berry purple. It had a creamier texture than the others and it was a bit tricky to apply. Fuchsia Flash is a bright blue toned hot pink. It reminds me of so many other lipsticks Maybelline has released in the past, plus I didn't seem like a 'fall color'. Midnight Plum is a deep, almost black plum shade. I absolutely love it, and the formula is very smooth. It's so much better than Revlon Va Va Violet! Lavender Voltage is a beautiful, bright blue toned purple. This is my favorite lipstick of the collection. I have never seen anything like this at the drugstore, it's amazing and I want 10 backups. These swatches are two swipes each, each lipstick has a creamy finish. 

There are six glosses in this collection ($8.. As you can see, the color selection is a bit all over the place. I really wasn't too surprised, or pleased with any of these colors. From left to right: Berry Brilliance, Chocolate Lust, Lavender Lavish, Purple Royale, Raspberry Ablaze, and Flash of Pink.  ($7.99 each)

Flash of Pink is a very pale baby pink. Chocolate Lust is a deep reddish brown. Berry Brilliance is a bright hot pink with some coral tones. Purple Royale is a sheer deep blue-ish purple. It was very patchy and difficult to apply. Raspberry Ablaze is a deep purple berry. Lavender Lavish is a cool toned pink with a dash of purple. These were one swipe each. 

Here are the two eyeshadow palettes that I chose out of the four available. The top one is Violet Femme and the bottom is Fall Temptation. ($10.99 each) 

On the left are swatches for Violet Femme, and on the right are Fall Temptation. I wasn't impressed with these shadows at all. They all were very powdery, and crumbly. The first two shades of each palette weren't very pigmented, and sort of disappeared. The last two shades were pigmented, but like I said, powdery. 

Likes: 

• I love the deep purple shades in this collection
• I like that the lipsticks were all creamy in texture and finish

Dislikes: 

• The deep colored glosses weren't very pigmented
• The shadows were powdery
• Color selection of glosses/lipsticks weren't exactly 'fall' to me 
• Everything was a bit pricey for drugstore

Overall: 
I definitely feel like the Midnight Plum and Lavender Voltage lipsticks were the stars of this collection. They were to two pieces that really made me excited for fall. Everything else in this collection was very uninteresting to me, especially all of the pinks. The shadows were very powdery, and some weren't pigmented. 

I do like the fact that Maybelline tried to have variety in shade selection, but it still came across to me as uncoordinated. The collection didn't tie in together as a whole, even when I saw these shades in the display I was a bit confused. I really would have liked to see some reds in this collection, especially a maroon or burgundy.  It just didn't really feel fall to me. Oh, and another thing..... where are the limited edition fall color tattoos?! 

I hope that some separate fall color tattoo collection will be released, because I really wanted to see some new shades for fall. Overall, the only two colors I really liked in this collection were Midnight Plum and Lavender Voltage. Like I said, everything else in this collection unimpressed me. Better luck next season Maybelline!

L'Oreal Made For Me Pinks Collection

I feel that L'Oreal doesn't do collections as often as other brands. I heard about this line from a few popular beauty gurus who all raved about it, but unfortunately I didn't feel the same way. The collection is entirely made up of different shades of pink,  organized by skin tone from light to dark. 

There are eight Color Riche Lipsticks, four le Gloss lipglosses, and six Color Riche nail polishes to chose from in the Made For Me Pinks collection. I've also heard this collection referred to as the 'Colour Me Pink' collection, either way, all of the shade names are the same. I posted a picture of the display on my Instagram if you would like to see the rest of the shades! 

I chose four items. Two Color Riche Lipsticks (left) I Pink You're Cute and (right) Raspberry Rush. I also bought two le Gloss Lipglosses (left) Berry Chic and  (right) Rosy Demeanor. 

Swatched from left to right: I Pink You're Cute, Raspberry Rush, Berry Chic, and Rosy Demeanor. I Pink You're Cute is a sheer, light baby pink, but it looks a bit coral on the lips. Raspberry Rush is a sheer red with pink undertones. Berry Chic is a very pigmented fuchsia gloss with cool undertones. Rosy Demeanor is a light coral-pink gloss with warm undertones.

The formula on these lipsticks in certainly not the same as the regular Color Riche lipsticks. These ones are sheer, and the consistency is too slick. It almost instantly melts when you place in onto the lips. I have no idea why this is, but it makes application difficult and it really annoys me. The le Glosses are the same formula as the regular line, which is great!

Claims: For the lipstick: "Luxuriously Rich Color.Creamy.Intense Hydration." For the glosses: Extreme Shine.Supreme Creaminess.Ultra-hydrating Argan Oil & Omega 3."
Finish/Texture: The finish of the lipsticks is sheer and glossy, while the texture is slick and a bit greasy. The glosses have a creamy finish and a smooth texture. 
Lasting Power: The lasting power on the lipsticks is only about 2-3 hours, and the glosses last about 3-4 hours on me. 
Scent:The lipsticks have that signature powdery/floral scent that all of the original L'Oreal lipsticks have. I'm not a fan of it, but I put up with it if I really like the color. The Le Glosses have a slight vanilla scent that I really enjoy.
Packaging: The lipstick packaging is the usual gold tube, but I notcied that the tubes dig into the sides of the lipsticks. I'm sure this is because of the formula, because I've never had that problem with this lipstick line in the past. The glosses are just in a plain squeeze tube.
Price/Availability: I paid $9/ lipstick and $8.50/ gloss at Walgreens.

Likes:

• Variety of shades is great
• The idea of the collection is creative
• Creaminess of the glosses is great/comfortable on the lips
• The glosses are very pigmented

Dislikes:

• The lipsticks are too slick/feel greasy on the lips
• The lipsticks melt almost immediately during application
• The lipstick tubes dig into the side of the lipstick
• The lipsticks have a strong, overwhelming baby powder/floral smell
• Expensive for drugstore

Overall:
I think the idea L'Oreal had for this collection is wonderful, a pink lipstick and gloss for any skin tone. With that in mind, I still was disappointed in the mediocre quality of the lipsticks! They were honestly horrible to work with, they were greasy and 'melty'. Anytime I tried to work with them, they just slipped all over my lips. The glosses are what really stood out to me here. The le Glosses have a creamy, pigmented formula that's just so comfortable on the lips. 

I really dislike how expensive these items were, $8.50 for a lipgloss at the drugstore is a little much, and $9 for a lipstick that's greasy is just ridiculous. Overall I was disappointed in this collection, even though the idea was creative. I was left feeling like L'Oreal could have done better here!

Maybelline Summer 2013 Color Sensational High Shine Lipgloss

Maybelline released countless products this summer! It's almost too hard to keep up with everything, not just budget-wise, but color wise. Many of the colors that have been released are sadly limited edition. I really don't like it when drugstores do this, because then I always feel rushed into buying a product. Limited editions from Maybelline seem to disappear rather quickly, so I gave in! I bought three of the six, limited edition glosses.

From top to bottom: Fuchsia Sparks, Coral Heat, and Mirrored Plum. Fuchsia Sparks is a light baby pink. Coral Heat is a warm, medium coral shade. Mirrored Plum is a cool, medium purple. These swatches are all one swipe.

Claims: "More vibrant color from our pure liquid pigments cleaner shine from our 100% wax-free gloss."

Finish/Texture: The finish of these glosses is very shiny. The texture is very smooth and creamy. It definitely glides on, and gives decent moisture.

Lasting Power:  I would say these last about four hours depending on how much I eat/drink.

Scent: These have a very faint fruity/bubblegum scent that I dislike, but it fades quickly. I also want to mention that these have a very bitter taste! I really have to be careful not to lick my lips when I wear these.

Packaging: These glosses have a typical doe foot applicator with built in wiper.. The tubes are made of clear, rectangular plastic. I'm such a fan of the square shape! 

Price/Availability: I paid $7.50 each at Rite Aid

Likes:

• Smooth formula
• Pretty colors/variety to chose from
• Creamy finish/ high shine
• Sleek/functional packaging
• Inexpensive for such great quality

Dislikes:

• Fruity/bubblegum scent (it does fade) 
• Bitter taste

Overall:
This formula is still one of my favorites at the drugstore. The overall quality of these glosses definitely reminds me of something high end. The formula is glides on easily and feels silky smooth. They do give some hydration, and the lasting power is decent. The creamy finish and the high shine is what I really love most about these.The scent and taste is a bit off-putting, but it isn't too strong. I don't remember my original shades having that problem, so I think that maybe overtime the scent fades out of the tube completely. Either way, I'm happy that I caught these colors in time before they're gone!

New Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses

Revlon Superlustrous lipglosses are amazing. Their formula is one of my absolute favorites at the drugstore. When I first heard that the line was being revamped I panicked a little, but no need to worry, the formula still feels like the original non-sticky goodness! 

Out of the twelve shades available, I chose from left to right: Fatal Apple, Pink Pop, and Fuchsia Finery.

The new packaging is quite different from the original. The tubes are now cylindrical and the doefoot applicators are longer and skinnier. I'm not a fan of the new, bulkier look.

There is only one shade that is named the same in the new line, and that is Pink Pop. Although the name is the same, the new color is slightly different than the original. In the photo above on the right, I compared the two. The new pink pop (top) is a cool toned hot pink. Old Pink Pop (bottom) is a warm, lighter pink. I also feel that the old Pink Pop has a creamier, more opaque finish. It's not a huge difference, but I just wanted to show you that they aren't exactly the same. 

The differences between the new Superlustrous glosses and the original ones is mainly in the packaging. As you can see they are now a different shape, the tube is also larger. I find it funny that Revlon decided to bulk up packaging, because now we are actually getting less product. Yes, the new version only has .13 ounces, while the old version had .20 ounces! Of course the price is the same, so now we are actually paying more for less.

Fuchsia Finery is a sheer medium purple. Pink Pop is a cool toned hot pink. Fatal Apple is  a bright blue based red, and is the most pigmented of the three. These all have a creamy, jelly-like finish. They can be worn sheer or built up to about medium opacity. 

Claims: " A silky gloss that boosts hydration and plumps lips with moisture for a colorful glamorous shine". 
Finish/Texture: The finish is creamy and jelly-like. The texture is smooth and moisturizing.
Lasting Power: These last on me about 5 to six hours depending on how much I eat/drink.
Scent: These are unscented.
Packaging: The packaging is now in bulky cylinders. The doefoot applicators are now skinnier and longer. I'm unhappy about getting less product in these new tubes. 
Price/Availability: I paid $8 each at Rite Aid

Likes:

• Variety of new shades and finishes available
• Formula is still great
• Hydrating/feels comfortable on the lips
• Long lasting about 5 hours
• Unscented
• There's a wiper and a doefoot applicator

Dislikes:

• We are now getting less product for the same price
• The new tubes are a bit bulky
• There's no SPF in this formula, while the old ones had SPF 15
• The old shades are all discontinued now
• This new formula is more translucent, not as creamy of a finish

Overall:

I really am going to miss some of the old shades, Lilac Pastel, Coral Reef, and even the old Pink Pop! The original versions are more opaque, and that's what I loved about Superlustrous. The new shades are pretty, but they have this jelly-like transparency that I wasn't expecting. This makes it harder to get the actual color you see in the tube, causing me to use more product. My biggest complaint about these it that Revlon made the tubes look larger in size, and actually gave us less product. I absolutely hate it when this happens, because it's not like the price is being lowered here. So essentially, we are now paying more for less gloss. I know .07 ounces doesn't sound like a lot, but I go through these glosses like water, shame on you Revlon! There's also no SPF in the new formula.

All in all, the formula feels like the same non-sticky luxuriousness that I'm used to. This formula is what keeps me coming back, it just feels like silk on my lips. I love that it's long lasting and hydrating all in one. That's hard to find in a gloss, especially at the drugstore. It's still one of my favorites, even though I am a little ticked off about getting less product.

NYC Kiss Gloss in Spring Meadow and Pink Flamingo

NYC Kiss Gloss are some of my favorite glosses from the drugstore. The formula is so smooth and hydrating that you can hardly feel it on the lips, plus they're only three dollars! When I saw new colors available in their 'Let's Paint the Town' display, I had to buy them!

 Pink Flamingo (top) is a light peachy shade that is perfect for a more natural lip look. Spring Meadow (bottom) is basically a clear gloss with tiny green sparkles. The sparkles are barely noticeable, and both glosses are very sheer. On the right I'm wearing Pink Flamingo on my lips, and as you can see it looks a bit pinker from my natural lip color that shows through. 

Claims: "It comes in a cute squeezy tube that makes mirrorless application as easy as pie. Choose subtle sweet shades for understated sexiness-"

Finish/Texture: The finish of Pink Flamingo is a cream and Spring Meadow is a sparkle. The texture is super creamy, and non-sticky. Both are very sheer and wearable.

Lasting Power: I only get an hour of wear with these.

Scent: There is a subtle fruity-banana/bubblegum scent with these two colors. I've noticed that different colors have different scents.

Packaging: The packaging is a squeeze tube, no fuss and I love it!

Price/Availability: I paid $3 each at Rite Aid

Likes:

• Inexpensive
• Smooth formula
• Non-Sticky
• Pretty colors
• Easy to use packaging

Dislikes:

• Limited edition
• Strong fruity/bubblegum scent (not a bubblegum scent fan)
• Only last an hour or less

Overall:

I love Pink Flamingo! I think it's the perfect daytime gloss for when I don't feel like wearing lipstick (which is a rarity for me, but we all have those days). Spring Meadow is just a clear gloss, but I love the fact that it looks green in the tube! The formula is smooth, hydrating, and non-sticky, which compensates for the short wear time. I'm not a fan of the fruity/bubblegum scent, but it's subtle. The packaging is super easy to use, and even though these two glosses are limited edition- there are many permanent colors to choose from! 

Flower Beauty Shine On Lip Gloss

My experiences with Flower Beauty have currently left me unimpressed with the brand in general. When the line debuted in the beginning of the year, I bought quite a few products all at once out of sheer excitement. I always enjoy trying new beauty products, but Flower Beauty keeps disappointing me with mediocre formulas and average quality. Usually a lip gloss is a product that I feel is a "safe bet" when trying new brands, but not this time!

 Iris I Could Fly Shine On Lip Gloss

Iris I Could Fly is a bright, cool-toned medium pink. This gloss is very pigmented, a little goes a long way. It can be worn sheer, or opaque depending on how much is applied. The applicator is a classic doe-foot. 

Claims: "Creamy, rich, and smooth gloss. Pillow-like softness on lips. Medium buildable coverage"
Finish/Texture: The finish is shiny and glossy, as expected. The texture is smooth, but it's also thick and sticky. My lips felt uncomfortable and almost as if the moisture is being taken away when I wore this gloss throughout the day.
Lasting Power: I only had about two hours of wear before the color started to fade.
Scent: There is a overpowering soapy/chemical scent that I find unbearable.
Packaging: The packaging is a sturdy plastic. I like that the tube is clear, that way you see what you get! The doe foot applicator is easy to use (also my favorite type of applicator).
Price/Availability: I paid $7 at Walmart

• Thick, sticky texture
• Awful scent

• $7 is too high for the low quality 

Overall:
Unfortunately, this lip gloss gave a mediocre performance, leaving me with low expectations on Flower Beauty lip products as a whole. I enjoyed the color of Iris I Could Fly, but the texture and scent was dreadful. The texture was so thick and sticky that I felt like it actually took moisture out of my lips the longer I wore it. I found the overwhelmingly soapy scent unbearable, to the point where I didn't even want to wear the gloss. Overall, nothing stood out to me about the performance of this gloss, it actually disappointed me! I honestly wasn't expecting it to perform as badly as it did.

I've also tested Flower Beauty Foundation  and Velvet Lipstick if you are interested in reading my detailed reviews on those items! Have you tried anything from Flower Beauty? Do you think it performs like high quality makeup as it claims?

Hard Candy Lip Def Lip Laquer

Hard Candy cosmetics launched tons of new products for Spring 2013! I was immediately drawn to the Lip Def Lip Laquers because of the beautiful shimmer and bright colors. Lip Def claims to give high shine color that uses 3D pearls to create voluminous full lips. Although new makeup releases are exciting, these are painfully dull.

Midnight Stroll is a sheer purple gloss with blue and white shimmer. Rated R is a sheer gloss with white and purple shimmer. Both look very toned down on the lips, and the shimmer seems to vanish on Rated R. Midnight Stroll is the better of the two, but still not what I expected.


Claims: "Imagine your lips…in 3D! Our super shiny lip color amplifies the shape of your lips with 3D pearls that create the illusion of depth and volume resulting in fuller, curvaceous lips. This triple duty lip color hydrates, fills and magnifies lips without feeling sticky or tacky."
Packaging: The applicator is doefoot, my favorite. The plastic tube reminds
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is a joke, these are basically clear glosses with tons of shimmer. They look nothing like they do in the tube!
Finish/Texture: The finish is very shiny. The texture of the gloss itself is a bit goopy and the shimmer feels gritty. It doesn't feel sticky at all, just greasy. Overall, unpleasant.
Scent: Midnight Stroll has a plasticy grape scent. Rated R smells good, like Hello Kitty gum! 
Lasting Power: These are so greasy that I barely had any wear time, an hour maybe.
Price/Availability: I paid $6 each at Wal Mart.

• No lasting power
• Glitter barely shows up

Overall:
I was completely unimpressed with Lip Def Lip Laquer. The colors are very sheer, almost non-existent on the lips. They look completely different in the tube! The texture is thick, gooey, gritty, and all around unpleasant. The lasting power is just as bad as the pigmentation. The only thing I liked about Lip Def is that the packaging is cute and functional. There are better glitter glosses available at the drugstore. I would suggest skipping on these!

I will be reviewing other new releases from Hard Candy shortly. So far, the nail polish and jumbo gloss pencils are my favorite!
