Empties: Products I've Used Up!

I feel like it takes forever for me to use up a product! Whenever I actually finish something to the last drop, it's like a personal victory. Of course I'm sure that most people don't think twice about finishing products, but us makeup hoarders are one of a kind. Here's what I've finished up over the past three months:

Olay Complete Daily Defense Moisturizer ($13)- I liked this at first, but then the texture turned really thick. It also had a strong sunscreen smell to it, which drove me crazy. This was one of the first moisturizers I tried from the drugstore, and I'm happy to say that I've moved on.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Ivory ($10)- This is my favorite foundation from the drugstore. It matches my skin tone perfectly, and the formula stays put. The quality is amazing, and the shade range is impressive. Holy Grail!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation in C1 ($9)- I used to love this foundation. The formula is easy to blend, and I love that they have 30 shades to choose from. However, C1 isn't as pale as it used to be. I'm not sure if I just got a bad bottle or if the color is actually different.

Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer (sample)- This primer was wonderful. It kept my complexion matte all day long! The texture was like a smooth lotion. It was very different than most primers that I've tried.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer $8- This doesn't treat dark cirlces, I've gone through enough of these to know that, but it's a great under eye concealer. This is the lightest shade, it has a lot of pink undertones to it which is perfect for me. The formula is thin, blendable, and has great coverage.

Maybelline Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara ($8)- This version of the Colossal is slightly darker than the original, but the wand and formula is exactly the same. I already repurchased a tube of the original, it's one of my favorite mascaras!

Covergirl Flamed Up Mega Curl Mascara ($8)- I bought this because I loved the Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara (review). This one is so much better, because the wand is curled! It's quite chunky, but it easily grabs every lash. The formula didn't flake or clump on me and it gave my lashes amazing curl, length, and volume. You can watch me apply it in this video.

L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara ($7)- I love the orignal Voluminous, but this one just makes my lashes feel crunchy. It still lenthened very well, but waterproof formulas just aren't for me. I don't even know why I bought this! I rarely ever wear waterproof mascara.

Jordana Easyliner in Lavish Brown ($2)- This is an amazing retractable liner! I decided to try this because of EmilyNoel83, and she was right, these are great! I love how smooth and pigmented this was, plus there are a ton of different shades to choose from. I've already repurchased it!

Essence Gel Liner in Midnight in Paris ($4)- This is my absolute favorite gel liner. It's smooth, intensely pigmented, and super affordable. It's better than any high end/drugstore liner I've ever used. I think I've been using this liner for about 4 years now.. I've probably gone through 100 of these..

I know that this doesn't seem like much, especially since it took me about three months to use all of this! I have been trying to use up what I already have lately, but of course that's easier said than done.

I hope that you found this post interesting! I just love empties, they are always so fun talk talk about!

  2. I know the feeling of victory when I finish something off! For me the thing I will never finish is lipstick. I am always on the hunt for the perfect red I can wear all day at work without having to reapply. Oh yea and if it's less than 10$ better. What moisturizer have you landed on? I've tried a whole bunch that smell terrible and leave my face feeling gross.

    1. Same here, it's going to take me forever to finish a lipstick. I'd suggest a Milani Colorstatement Lipstick, they have tons of reds that last all day on me. I'm currently using Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer. It feels super light on my skin.

  5. Isn't it awesome when we finally finish up products that seem to take forever! That's the case with foundation for me! Since I'm always using so many at once! I love l'oreal true match, so long lasting! Also I've never tried revlon colorstay but its always raved about for coverage and long wearing qualities! Maybe one day when I'm down some foundations I'll get it!

  6. Especially if you don't use makeup everyday it takes MUCH longer than forever to finish! I still have yet to get through to the empty bottle stage! Not finished with any of my makeups yet! I do look forward to whenever or if ever that day comes! :)
