Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Mask

This mask really does smell like chocolate! It reminds me exactly of a chocolate milkshake. I got mine at Ulta  for two dollars.

I love all of the illustrations on the packaging!

Claims:
Unblock pores and add healing moisture with this masque composed of dead sea salt, cocoa and shea butter.

Directions:
Be good to yourself! Cleanse face and dry. Apply thinly & evenly over face and neck with fingertips, avoiding eyes, lips & hair. Relax for 10-20 minutes, or when totally dry gently peel off masque (never pull). Wash off any stuck bits with water. Pat dry. Use weekly.

Possibly the scariest photo I've taken of my eye..

What it did for me:
I applied the mask with my fingers and let it dry for 20 minutes. After I washed it off, my skin felt amazingly soft and moisturized, but I didn't feel that it actually did anything for my pores. It also made my skin smell like an amazing chocolate milkshake, which is always nice!

Likes:
  • delicious chocolate smell
  • enough amount of product to cover face & neck
  • $2
  • hydrates skin
  • softens skin
  • no added parabens
  • gluten free
Dislikes:
  • didn't unclog pores
  • doesn't make skin feel "deep cleaned"
  •  few types are available in my area
Overall:
This is the perfect treat for someone who wants to try something fun and different for their skin. I could also see these as something fun to bring to a sleep over, or even used as some sort of party favor. This isn't the type of thing that is really going to make a huge difference to your skin, it's just for amusement. I would repurchase this though, just because it's so fun, smells amazing, and really softens the skin!

Montagne Jeunesse has a variety of masks for every skin type. They offer creams, clays, muds, hydrating masks, peel off masks, scrubs, and more. I hope that I can try more than what they offer at Ulta!
